As an artist, I have an innate need to MAKE. Create. Play. What a gift it is to ‘play’ something into existence – where only supplies exist at the start of the process, by the end something completely brand new appears. Art is so incredibly transformational. Many of my creations are in the form of paper collage, painting, crocheting/knitting and sewing. But also I create logo/branding/marketing materials for a select handful of clients, do mural design, and I’m always making a handmade gift or two for the people I love! My art playground is my etsy shop where I sell a fine art prints of my paper collages and whatever else is inspiring me at the moment. My shop is called – emmie and co. goods – Emmie is what many of my family call me and of course the co. is for my crew of beautiful kiddos who inspire me daily and often have a hand in what I’m creating. They make for a great set of art critics who continue to give me feedback and push me to grow.

Some past exhibitions include:
>The Space, 330 N Tejon Street in Colorado Springs, Colorado: a collection of paintings and paper collage with a focus on nature
>Art Walk at Architectural Antiques art studios, Minneapolis, Minnesota: a collection of portrait photography work
>Saint Paul Photographer’s Co-op, Saint Paul, Minnesota: a collection of photographs from across Italy
>Springfield Bank, Springfield, Massachusetts: a selection of portrait photographs

Fine art prints and Favorite Place pillows are available at Meraki Springs gift shop, 2629 West Colorado Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO 80904, in the eclectic heart of Old Colorado City.

Select pieces of my art are also available in my online shop: Emmie & Co Handmade Goods.

This gallery is a very brief (and random) sampling of my creations. If you have questions about any particular project you see here, feel free to drop me a note! I’d love to hear from you.

BE KIND.

Ultimately, life is quite fleeting. Here’s what I think: Put your phone down. Go for a walk in the fresh air. Tell someone you love them. Help others. Find joy in any given moment – no matter the moment. Leave room for the car next to you to merge over. Call a friend instead of text – hear their voice. Give and receive love freely. Have fun. And be kind.
